(FREDERICKSBURG, VA)- Hard Times Cafe Four Mile Fork will host the final stop of the Toys for Tots Poker Run and Ride on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 4:30 p.m. The expected three hundred bikers will arrive with police escorts and uniformed marines. The popular rock and roll band, American Hitmen will be the featured entertainment for the evening, starting at 8 p.m. and there will be a cover charge of 5 dollars after 9 p.m.
The Toys for Tots Poker Run and Ride kicks off their charitable event at the Toys for Tots Warehouse in Dumfries, VA. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the ride will begin at 11 a.m. Each driver or passenger participating will bring a new unwrapped toy or make a twenty dollar donation per hand to benefit the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Drive. The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
