(FREDERICKSBURG, VA)– The Institute for the Performing Arts (IPA) will host its first Annual Gala to be held on Saturday, June 6 at 7:00 p.m. at the Stafford Regional Airport. IPA will be introducing their amazing interactive “Travel Through Time” stage performance.
Tickets are $50 per person or $75 per couple with all proceeds benefiting the Institutes new and upcoming 4D Educational Stage Show “Travel Through Time,” which in turn provides the funds essential to the operation of the Institute.
The evening will begin with an open bar cocktail reception where guests will have a chance to mingle, followed by an introduction to the IPA by founder and main benefactor, Bill Carroll. Then the guests will be presented with a video of the up-coming Stage Show and then will experience the arrival of the Gala’s very special guest. Also, all ticket holding guests will receive a membership to the Institute as a gift from the Performing Arts founder, Bill Carroll.
“The IPA students will be under the tutorage of professionals, learning all aspects of theater from set design to writing, etc. They will then take their new found knowledge and apply it towards producing a segment of the touring “Travel Through Time” series, which will also visit schools and children’s museums throughout the country. The best part of this two-part approach is that the shows will directly fund the Institute of the Performing Arts,” says Carroll.
Kevin Handy, Director of Cinematography continued “Using interactive 4D technology, high-tech robotics, cutting edge animatronics and amazing special effects that engage all the senses, the “Travel Through Time” audience will be immersed into history as they are transported across the globe to visit ancient civilizations along with new and exciting destinations. The most exciting part of the show is the introduction of our new friend Draven, a life-size baby Tyrannosaurus Rex.”
The IPA is excited to feature local Fredericksburg musician Shannon Peterson as the evening’s entertainment. Shannon is a one of a kind performer who is well-known for his dynamic performances and variety of music.
